A Message to my daughter....
Dearest Mary,
I want you know that I cherish your hugs today
just as much as when you were a toddler.
I still find myself thinking of your kisses and feel your arms around my
neck just like when you were small. I
will still gladly take the time to listen to how your day was, and see what you
may have learned from it. I will always
take your burden and give you a kiss in return.
I pray that your day today is filled with sweet
moments that you can store in your heart's memory box and take them out again
someday when you are old. I hope there
is a smell that reminds you of this day years from now and makes you smile. I hope that the sun shines on your face and
warms your soul. I hope that the coos of
your precious child sound like a melody you will always want to hear. I hope that you never stop thanking God for
gentle touch of your loved ones’ embrace.
God blessed me with you, and although we are
farther apart than I almost can stand at times, I just want you to know that
you mean more and more to me with every single day that goes by. You are a mom now too, and my hope is that I
raised you with so much love that you will pass that along to your own little
girl. You will love in two directions,
to me for what was, and for Makayla for what will be. We are all three generations tied together
with and by the love of God. He is
always by our side, helping us to help each other. I love you more than you will ever know, my
sweet and precious Mary, and I always will.
Have a day of joy, and know that the Most High God shares in it!
Love, your Mommy xoxox

ReplyDeleteMy Dear Sister,
ReplyDeleteThis is a declaration of love that your daughter will cherish for years to come. It is wonderful watching the baton being passed on to the next one. Those precious principles of life, grace, mercy and joy have been implanted in your daughter and are now being instilled in your granddaughter. That my dear is a wonderful blessing.
Love you and may our Lord continue to bless you in all you undertake to do.
Shalom,
Patricia
Thank you Pat, I love you too!
