He is risen! Our Lord is not in the tomb! Wake up, Church! Arise! May His resurrection glory shine on you today. If you don't know the Savior, His name is Jesus. He died for you. But not only did He die for you, and more importantly, He ROSE for you! So that death could be defeated! What love our Father has for us, that He would give His only Son to die for us so that we would live!

It's As Easy as Riding a Bike!
Some time ago on my way to work I was listening to Joyce Meyer's Deliverance from the Bondage of Fear. She was speaking about how we should not give in to fear or let it hold us in bondage, and that we must do as Jesus says, and 'fear not.'
She said fear will come upon us, but we mustn't let it control us. That was when God placed the following on my heart.
When children are little and learning how to ride a bicycle, they are afraid because they don't think they can do it. They're afraid they'll fall and hurt themselves. Think of how hard it is for a novice (first timer) to control the handlebars - they are all over the place!
But their Dads grab hold of the handlebar and the seat and steady the bike and walk beside them. They are still afraid, but begin to place more thought on what they are doing. There is more of a sense of security when Dad is walking, then running beside them. They follow instructions - "Just pedal! Go straight!"
They are afraid of falling down, but then Dad says, "You won't fall, I'll catch you! I promise!" Dad runs alongside and gently lets go of the handlebar, encouraging them, "See? You can do it!" The child becomes more sure of themselves. Dad says, "Don't worry, you won't fall, I'll catch you!"
The child doesn't even notice when Dad lets go. They are so busy riding and concentrating and enjoying their new power they actually forget to be afraid. They are focused. Daddy said he would catch them. There is no reason to fear, they trust their Dad.
That's how we are to be with God. We are to be 'as little children.' Turn our fears over to Him, He won't let us fall. Ask Him to steady us, hold on to our handlebars and seat until we're more secure.
Don't worry! He won't let us fall, He'll catch us! Afterall, He is our Father, Abba Daddy.

The Hurt and the Healer
Have you ever listened to a song that made you cry and feel joy at the same time? This one does it for me. I have many things going on in my life right now, and some of them are painful. I am not happy with myself today, I struggle to be the woman that God created me to be. When I fail it breaks my heart and causes me to distance myself from my Savior, the only one who can help me. Being away from Him is the last place I need to be right now.
I have to stop and gather myself together. I ask for His help. Heal me, Lord! Take away the pain. Take away the despair. Only You, Lord, only You. Stay with me! Hallelujah! All the glory to You, Lord! Remind me that I am not alone.

Take My Load, Jesus
Today I lay my problems at His feet. I can no longer carry the load of all the things that weigh me down. I have tried, heaven knows I've tried, to drag them along with me day after day so that I would always remember them. I have laid claim to these trials and burdens and although they seem to grow larger everyday, I still manage to wrap a rope around them and haul them from my bed in the morning to my workplace and back home and to church, and back home, and then they just sit in this massive heap next to the bed waiting for me to wake up so that I can shoulder them once more.
Why do I do that, Lord? Why don't I throw them out like the rubbish they are? They are doing me no good. How do I make the change and go on without them? It's crazy, these are the things that make me worry, the things that make me cry, the things that hold me captive. These things are what the enemy has told me is fact. Is it fact? That my prayers won't be answered? That I am nothing? That things won't change?
No, it's not fact, unless I let it be, and more assuredly, it's not truth! The Bible tells me otherwise. I am not going to listen to myself today. I am not going to try to fix what I can't. I am just not going to carry the broken things with me anymore. At least for today. Jesus is the healer and fixer. I must rely on Him to take these hopes of happiness and restoration and salvation and healing and make them manifest in my life. He said He would. I just have to let go.
No more burden for me today! Jesus, my God, my Savior, I lay them at Your holy feet! Restore broken relationships in my family, heal the sick, mend the brokenhearted, and open my eyes to Your love for me! I am aware of what today is. Only You can make tomorrow better. I give my load to You to carry, Jesus, at least for today. I'll trade loads with You. Let me rest knowing that You are in command of my life. I am weary.

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” " Matt 11:28 -30

The Body of Christ - Part 3 - Praying for Our Youth
Dear Heavenly Father,
Our younger generation is always a target for the devil’s attack. In some cases they have not been in the Body long. They easily get caught up in the traps of temptation. It’s easier to just put You aside so they can satisfy their own earthly desires for a while. They are led to believe that it’s okay to do those things that you abhor for a little while. They are not ready to fully commit themselves to You. They call this the “Me” generation, and in a way we are all guilty of being a part of it. We forget what Your word says about life, love, marriage, and money.
Lord, please take hold of Your children that are sitting on the fence. Let a gentle breeze push them to the place of light. Let their minds be rid of the lies that their behavior is justified and alright. Let them understand that Your way is the only right way, and although it can be extremely painful to give up those selfish pleasures, the reward of coming back to the fold outweighs everything!
It’s not easy being a good Christian, Lord. It’s hard to give up attitudes we grew used to. Our flesh controls us until we submit to You. When we searched, we found we served a spirit of greed, of lust, of disobedience, or hate and contempt.
Bless our younger generation Lord, give them revelation to see their ways are not Your ways, but are a perverted way, it’s not what You intended. Give them strength, let them know that even as they tire, You are there to lift them on wings like eagles. Let them know they are never alone!
Please continue to place the truth before them. Protect them from evil spirits that let them think it’s beautiful to excessively pierce and stain the bodies You gave them. Help them to understand that the devil doesn’t care that they won’t be hired because of it, that doesn’t matter to the father of lies. What is cool now could be disaster later.
Although You are always with Your children, as much the young as the old, they are not hearing. Please speak to their hearts, send them the music or the app or the friend who knows You better. Let us all rise in adoration to You, dear God!
There is hope for our young people, Lord; they are a testament to Your love. And we hold them up to You for mercy and grace because we love them. They are also Your body! They are also our brothers and sisters in Christ, and when one strays the shepherd will leave the flock for them. Give them strength to go against the trends of the day and instead be an example of godliness to their generation.
Father, You are our Father. All of us together make up the body of Christ. If one falls, let us not look the other way but be as the good Samaritan and show love and compassion. Help us to lift each other up in prayer for wisdom, for revelation, and for protection from the enemy. Remind us who we are in the body of Christ, that if one member suffers we all suffer, and if one member is honored, all the members rejoice in unison! Thank you for our youth, the promise of today!
I love You desperately, Lord, my heart aches for You! I am your servant in the blessed name of Jesus! Amen
