It’s Not Ours, We’re Just Visiting

“The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the waters.” Psalm 24:1-2 NKJV

The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. Let that sink into your soul for a moment. It’s not ours, we are merely stewards of what He created. We’re supposed to take care of the things He put us in charge of. Somewhere along the way we seem to have forgotten that.

Perhaps God is taking advantage of the time we are staying home to heal His earth. Perhaps He is teaching us good hygiene. Maybe He wants us to notice new things just outside our windows.

All He gives us is beautiful. Spend a little time thanking Him for this season of rest and renewal. Try to not worry so much. If you can’t fix it, than let the experts do that. We are all affected, but God sees each of us with loving eyes and all the provision of His supply.

This current situation shall pass, and hopefully we will go back out with a new excitement and sense of awareness that we have been blessed through this season. What did you learn? What new thing made you happy? Have you had a chance to rethink some things? Did you find your purpose along the way? Did you find your priorities changed along with your schedule?

Pretty soon the nation will ‘reopen’. How will you do things when it does? Will it be the same routine or will you deliberately find time to enjoy the blessings of life? I’d love to hear from you. Have a blessed day and know that God loves you!

  1. It will be good when this pandemic is over. I will most assuredly remain cautious for a while & I will try to notice more of God's blessings when I'm out & about. Thank you for the reminder!
